  • Green Apple
  • Green Grapes
  • Sharp Knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Toothpicks
  • Chocolate Chips or Raisins

Cut your apple into fourths and remove the core.

FFPFrogSnacks3

Remove a small wedge from the peel size of the apple to form a frog mouth.

FFPFrogSnacks4

Slice up a banana into 1/2″ slices for the frog eyes.

FFPFrogSnacks9

Position the apple on a plate and insert two toothpicks into the top of the apple.  Slide two banana slices onto the toothpicks to form eyes and finish by gently pushing two chocolate chips or raisins into the centers to create the frog pupils.

FFPFrogSnacks8

Cut a grape in half.  Position the grape halves next to the apple on either side to create frog legs.

FFPFrogSnacks7

Cut two grapes in half and cut 3 triangles out of the tip to create frog webbed feet.  Position two of these in front of the frog legs.  Cut the round ends off of the remaining two and position in front of the frog.

FFPFrogSnacks6

Repeat the same steps and assemble a friend for your frog.

  1. How cute!!!! I love these little guys! I read Frog and Toad books to my class throughout the month of Feb. (Valentine’s Day). I am going to have my room mom make up a batch of these to serve the kids! Thanks for all the wonderful ideas!
